Watch the first person interviewed in this clip (I’m sure most of you have seen already):
Notice how the lady’s statement was made without the slightest bit of irony. And I’m talking about the idea inherent in her statement that a Black “take over” would be a bad thing. It’s an ironic statement because White rule in this country has never been sufficiently placed under the microscope.
It’s an irony that’s lost on most people who talk about race, race relations and racism.
But one thing that cannot be ignored is how White Majority Rule (WMR) brought us race slavery and then after that was no longer feasible the period known for Jim Crow/discriminatory laws and customs based on racial exclusion and White Advantage and yet WMR continues to this day.
I’d venture to say that most Whites, even so-called White anti-racists, would object to the idea of a Black “takeover” in this country under any scenario. So it’s rather ironic how, out of all the denounciations of racist things done in the past or currently — not to mention the concept of “institutional racism” — the idea of WMR being a problem hardly ever gets raised by Whites.
